The examination of fourth semester was over!!!

All the business about “Short Semester” is finished well. Just wait until 7th July to go back to college. So, guys these are 4 days trip to “Bukittinggi” West Sumatera.here is in the left(Bay Clovedoper) and right is me
It must be “Jam GaDang” is the most popular and the first object to visit while you arrive in Bukittinggi. It is built by Dutch people while the rest of war times.

This landmark of Bukittinggi city and West Sumatera province has already known well by overseas tourism. The unique symbol of West Sumatera is not only on the shape uniqueness but also from the age that already given the interesting history journey. This building has built in 1926 is a gift from Queen of Dutch to a Controleur (Secretary of the city). And be trusted on famous native architect at that time named Yazin and Sutan Gigi Ameh with spent in cost 3000 Gulden. By which the placing of first stone was did by the first son of Rook Maker a contrleur of Bukittinggi City where at that time still was 6 years old. Based on Book of Tambo Alam Minangkabau, at that time Ornament of this Jam Gadang was circle shape and on the top was stand a cockerel.
That cockerel was to be fronted on west side or to Koto Gadang area. There, many of well known “ulama” of West Suamtera was born commonly. At that time, the sign of the time to shalah (early Morning Prayer) was the crowing of the cockerel. Therefore, icon of cockerel was decided as the ornament.
Different author, so does different in the ornament. In time of Japan colonize, that ornament replaced becomes a campanile (kelenteng). Because based on Japan was not fair if that ornament only confronted to Koto Gadang only.
And after the time of Indonesia’s independent day, which ornament replaced again becomes “gonjong gadang house’shape”. As prove of freedom of Minangkabau’s society especially. Because “gonjong” is a specific characteristic of “Minangkabau’s society” so those “gonjong gadang house” had been decided as the next ornament.
It is not only about the ornament which has its own uniqueness. The Roman number on that Jam Gadang also has its own uniqueness of strange.
If we see without any notice, so we just see nothing wrong on that Jam Gadang. But if we see more accurately on the fourth number of Roman. It must be written IV but in the fact on that Jam Gadang is made of four numbers I Roman in arrow (IIII).
Until this time, it is not known yet why the fourth number is made at that way.
Otherwise, that strange things is keep make the visitor who enjoy it feels challenged to know more about that strange.
But it is really need to know that, the machine of Jam Gadang is believed only two in the world. The twin is must be on Big Bang, in England. Both of these clocks were made by Forman a famous expert of clock making from Netherland. By him both these clocks was named “Brixlion”.
Back to problem of the fourth number, was the number intentionally made or not. But it is really small possibility if an expert of clock who very known well did a mistake such that way. It must be hundreds of clocks that he made before successfully and never wrong in making the number. Some of people perceiving that strange thing is intentionally made by the maker, but based on what reason?
Part of the people in that society perceive that those numbers was intentionally changed as sign of the four workers who made that building were died as protective agent(tumbal) after Jam Gadang finished. It makes any sense, because that clock was made from combination of white cement and white eggs. So it will be easier to rebuild. But is it logic if the society must betray the literature law for all of those things? Is there another way to respect the dead of those people?
Nobody knows surely until this time what is the meaning and reason from the written of the fourth number. Just let all of these become a its own mystery that cannot be revealed and always invite question thinking for everybody who watch it then make conclusion based on their own point of view until the truth is revealed someday later.

Jam gadang is more worse than crowded when the night of 31th December, yeah people celebrating the new of year each year, how could not? The sound of that watch at 12.pm is the most wanted things to hear. The good things that everybody keep in touch is about the clean environment, yield of jam gadang is keep clean every single day. For whom like to enter jam gadang is charged Rp 50,000 per head.
